An important part of the A16 Rotterdam project is the construction of the 2,235-meter-long Rottemer Tunnel. The structure, when completed semi-underground in the Lage Bergse Bos, will be equipped with a middle tunnel channel that will allow users to exit the tunnel quickly and safely in the event of an emergency.
