TBS-SVA Group has developed into a reliable partner in the field of inner-city and industrial drainage. With a wide range of products and four strong brands – SVA, DDC, TBS, and IE Systems – the organization has grown into a total supplier in drainage. But anyone who thinks that the company only focuses on that is mistaken. “We are growing strongly in climate adaptation and energy transition,” says commercial director Willy Bruckers. “These are the pillars we will be focusing on in the coming years, because they are indispensable from a social and technical point of view.”

From its position as market leader in drainage, TBS-SVA has developed into a total supplier with a wide and versatile range: from point drainage and design line drainage in shopping streets to robust industrial gutters at airports and container terminals. “That foundation makes us strong,” says Bruckers. “But we are looking further ahead. The requirements in public spaces are changing rapidly. Municipalities, developers, and contractors are asking for solutions that do more than just drain water. They must also contribute to combating heat stress, sustainable energy supply, and protection of the living environment.”

In response to these changing requirements, TBS-SVA has developed a wide range of climate-adaptive products under the Aquacare program in recent years. These include the cyclone filter vortex, the Mini Raingarden, the Cool City Drain, and various buffer and infiltration solutions. The range also includes design variants such as Black Label grates in cast iron and Corten steel, and climate-resistant oil and gasoline separators for large-scale sites. “This is because rainwater that falls on public infrastructure is often less clean than people think,” explains Bruckers. “By first purifying and intelligently processing this water, we improve the quality of surface and groundwater and contribute to a healthier living environment. At the same time, these solutions help combat heat stress and drought in urban areas.”

In addition to water management, TBS-SVA is strongly committed to the energy transition. With cable ducts and cable pulling solutions, the company supplies products that are indispensable in the construction of high-voltage substations, energy storage locations, and hydrogen installations. “Many parties are not yet aware that we are also active in this market,” notes Bruckers. “But technically and ecologically, our solutions meet the highest standards. In this way, we make an important contribution to the infrastructure needed for sustainable energy.” He sees this expansion into new markets not only as an opportunity, but also as a social responsibility. “The energy transition is happening at lightning speed. We want to and must move with it.”

The strategy is proving successful, as evidenced by the clear growth in turnover in 2025, further reinforced by new collaborations with various partners. TBS-SVA supplies exclusive environmentally friendly, BTEX-free FILCOTEN gutters from the Austrian company BG Graspointner, while the Belgian company ECOBETON complements the range with settling tanks, oil separators, and lamella separators. “Thanks to these partnerships, we can offer our customers an even broader and more sustainable range of products,” says Bruckers. “These products are particularly crucial for large-scale sites in order to reduce environmental impact and increase future-proofing.” In this way, the partnerships not only contribute to broadening the product range, but also strengthen the company's ongoing innovative strength.
Innovation is not limited to products, he emphasizes. Digital tools are also playing an increasingly important role. Calculation tools for drainage, buffering, and infiltration are now available on the website. In addition, a team of specialists is on hand to advise customers on the correct application of gullies, covers, climate-adaptive solutions, or separator installations. “Our people ensure that we can deliver customized solutions. This is where we really make a difference, because the issues are often complex and require a combination of technical knowledge
and practical experience.”
With its solid foundation in drainage, its growing role in climate adaptation, and its expansion into energy infrastructure, TBS-SVA Group proves that innovation, quality, and social relevance can go hand in hand. “We want to show that solutions for water and energy reinforce each other,” says Bruckers, concluding: “Whether it's purifying rainwater, buffering and infiltrating water, combating heat stress, or contributing to tomorrow's energy supply, our ambition is clear. This is where innovation and quality converge.”
