Supports and formwork for infrastructure construction

Since its founding in the year 2000, MADEMA Steigerwerken has grown from a scaffolder to an all-round partner for main contractors in infrastructure construction. Today, they provide temporary structures such as concrete supports, concrete formwork and, of course, still scaffolding for numerous projects. Martin Radder, consultant and calculator at MADEMA, explains to us what distinguishes them in this market:

“What we notice is that there is a growing need for comprehensive and specialized knowledge among the main contractors of infrastructure projects. So at MADEMA, we not only provide the people to do the job, we also bring our experience and competencies to the construction site. And in doing so, we offer real added value to the responsible people of general contractors, who today often play more of a construction site manager role. We put a lot of time, money and energy into the automation of our organization. This is paying off because it allows us to generate detailed planning and progress reports at all times from the project estimate. Not only does this help control execution costs, it also provides insight into the consequences of changes in planning. That combination of features makes us so suitable as a partner for infrastructure construction.”

Traditionally MADEMA scaffolding works is specialized in scaffolding, but moves with the market demands. For example, they use different systems in utility construction than in infrastructure construction. There is deliberately diversified so that they are specialist
are in the field of all common systems. One has very consciously invested in people's knowledge and skills and it is paying off.

Martin continues: “We send more than just people, material and knowledge to our relations. Safety and safety awareness are also important pillars of our success. A good example of this is that, as Madema, we will certify ourselves using the safety ladder or ‘Safety Culture Ladder’. The safety ladder is a relatively new standard and
is used as a tool for deliberate safe action.”
