Repairing damage to sewers without digging is gaining popularity for both new and existing sewers. After all, repairing in the traditional way often places a heavy burden on the environment: the road has to be broken up and traffic diverted. Van de Kreeke Speciale Technieken specializes in pipe inspection and sewer repair/renovation and has even developed a number of unique methods for fast and effective repair, without too much inconvenience to the surroundings.
Van de Kreeke Special Techniques has developed its own sustainable methods, such as the certified short cold methods Innerfix® and inlet repair Innerfix®-LR.
"We have been adept at performing pipeline inspections for more than 30 years," begins René Knols, director at Van de Kreeke Special Techniques. "Using advanced techniques, we can determine the condition of pipes for our clients, inventory pipe networks and detect leaks. A big advantage is that our vehicles are not only equipped with detection techniques, but also have repair equipment. So we can also repair leaks and root growth immediately and demonstrate that the problem has been fixed according to the applicable standards."
Van de Kreeke Special Techniques has a number of interesting repair methods available that can solve most damage images from within the sewer system. "The most common defects are root growth, other obstructions, cracks or faulty inlets," explains Knols. "With our milling robots, we tackle the root growth and any cracks are provided with a partial repair. Depending on the situation and the client's wishes, we have different solutions available. We have developed our own sustainable methods, such as the certified short cold methods Innerfix® and inlet repair Innerfix®-LR. The repair methods are applied in diameters from 100 mm to 800 mm. In particularly non-man-accessible sewers. Innerfix® is an in-house development of a partial repair with which we are unique in the market. At Innerfix®-LR, the connection with other pipes (mainly house and gully connections) is restored watertight using a 'hat' system with adhesion."
Van de Kreeke Speciale Technieken masters the technique of inlet repair like no other. "We offer a choice of an 'inflatable' hat (Innerfix®-LR) or an injection. Injection is quite unique by Dutch standards, a technique that has come over from Germany. The advantage of this injection technique is that the repair remains flexible and can absorb small settlements. It is just a sample of our 'versatile' range," Knols emphasizes. "As a 70-year-old young family business, we are able to realize the full spectrum from A to Z, both above and below ground. From the construction of the underground infrastructure and the road on it to the construction of the house, including maintenance and repair work on each of these disciplines."
