ORANJEGROEP has played a prominent role for many years in supplying technical personnel for major infrastructure projects in the Netherlands and abroad. As a strategic partner of the TriAX construction consortium, it is supplying skilled workers for a wide range of roles in the reconstruction of the De Nieuwe Meer junction and the renovation of the A10 South motorway. These roles range from construction cleaners and concrete carpenters to foremen and assistant site supervisors.
According to senior key account manager Bert Serneels, the emphasis in this project is mainly on supplying concrete carpenters. “Around 70 percent of the demand for this project consists of concrete carpenters, supplemented by roles such as foremen and operational support staff. This is a long-term assignment that will span several years. We expect to be able to link around 30 people to this project on a structural basis next year.”
The first team has already been deployed to carry out preparatory work. Since the beginning of October, a foreman and his entire team have been working on the project, with further upscaling planned for early next year. Most of the employees come from Romania, where ORANJEGROEP has built up strong networks over many years. An experienced Romanian foreman, who has been working for the company for years, supervises the team on site. “That's what makes us strong,” says Serneels. “We often bring in entire teams from Eastern Europe who know each other well and therefore work together efficiently right away. Our people are real go-getters who are used to operating in complex projects.”

The A10 South is familiar territory for ORANJEGROEP. “We have extensive experience with similar projects,” says Operations Director Olivier Schreiner. “Our people have been involved in projects such as the A16 Rotterdam, the A24 Blankenburg connection, the Terneuzen lock, and the RijnlandRoute. Large infrastructure projects are our specialty and our strength. Thanks to our many years of experience, we know exactly what is required on the work floor and what clients expect from us.” ORANJEGROEP's construction department has been in existence for 24 years and has built up a wealth of knowledge and expertise over the years. This makes the company a reliable partner for contractors who need craftsmanship and continuity.
Since May 2024, ORANJEGROEP has been part of Home of Crafters, a holding company that focuses on the sustainable placement of skilled workers. The company recruits technical personnel from its own offices in countries such as Poland, Romania, Spain, and Croatia. “This clearly distinguishes us from agencies that work with agents,” Schreiner emphasizes. Another important focus is the accommodation of temporary workers. “All our homes are SNF-certified and are audited periodically. We ensure that our people live comfortably, often with a maximum of four people in a house, all with their own room. This allows them to start each day on the project feeling refreshed.”
Although De Nieuwe Meer focuses on concrete carpenters, ORANJEGROEP can be deployed much more broadly. The company has a large industrial department with electricians, welders, pipe fitters, painters, insulation installers, and scaffolders, and also has experience in supplying larger volumes. “On some projects, we deploy up to a hundred people at a time,” says Serneels. “This shows that we are flexible and can always scale up where necessary.” With approximately two thousand employees, a strong international recruitment base, and years of experience, ORANJEGROEP has become a household name in the world of construction and infrastructure.
