On projects where vibrations and noise pollution must be kept to a minimum, the mortar screw pile usually proves to be an ideal foundation system. Nederfund specializes in the installation of these mortar screw piles (and, for that matter, screw injection piles as well) and last year invested heavily in further expansion and preservation of its machinery.
Nederfund started drilling mortar screw and screw injection piles in 2007. The Wijchen-based company can rightfully call itself a "specialist" in this field. It is a flat organization that is fortunate to have skilled personnel and good operators who know their trade.
Nederfund is VCA* certified and a member of the NVAF (Nederlandse Vereniging Aannemers Funderingswerken). They are also in the process of certification for the Safety Culture Ladder. Nederfund is also the right place for specialist work, such as drilling along railroad tracks or in contaminated soil. The employees have all the necessary certificates.
Especially in recent years, Nederfund has invested heavily in its machinery. This means that they can cope in situations with limited working height or in locations that are difficult to reach, as well as being able to drill long piles up to 27 meters on a large scale.
In 2023 Nederfund put into operation a new mortar screw pile driver as well as a new concrete pump. Both machines obviously meet the latest emission standards and are equipped with an automated system for drilling registration. On the basis of this data, drilling graphs and statements are drawn up so that the quality delivered can also be demonstrated afterwards.
The 4322 mortar screw pile machine has a weight of 50 tons and is capable of drilling piles of up to 20 meters. With this machine, Nederfund has, among other things, made the foundation for the 'PEFA OCI Dedusting & Denox project' for Tata Steel in IJmuiden. This crane is 'as we speak' being upgraded with a powerpack so that the total power increases to 525 hp. This expansion will allow Nederfund to reach speed and thus depth even faster, further minimizing emissions.
Together with this new scaffold, Nederfund has a total of six scaffolds, enabling them to perform a wide range of foundation work. And these scaffolds are being put to good use, as the agenda for the coming period is well filled. Nederfund's ambition is not only to continue growing steadily, but also to bet on emission-free foundations. Currently, the market is not yet ready, but developments are being closely monitored.
