For more than 37 years, the German company STDS-Jantz -with Scottish sister company N.U.B. Engineering- has been developing high-quality drilling equipment and machinery. "With our international experience, we offer advanced drilling engineering solutions for various sectors," says Marnik Janssens. "From robust drilling materials and hydraulic drilling motors to accessories for different types of substrates and, since a few years, also complete mini drilling machines."
Janssens is a representative of the German manufacturer and runs the sales office in Ternat, Belgium. He finds that people like to buy directly from the manufacturer, but want advice in the process. "We speak their language and can thus serve the Benelux and French markets even better. Belgian and Dutch customers now know how to find their way to our office." With Denmark, another interesting country has been added to the portfolio. "Especially given the subsoil and machinery there," Janssens adds.
In addition to STDS-Jantz's standard range of auger drills, hydraulic drill motors and pile driving machines under its own brand name Premodrill, the Belgium office is also the official Benelux importer for the BETEK (wear parts) and EMDE (anchor drilling equipment) brands. "Also German brands. I guess it has to do with the Deutsche Gründlichkeit," laughs Janssens. He notes that Dutch firms make a lot themselves and BETEK's separately available parts are a valuable addition to that. "There are deep foundations in the Netherlands: without the addition of, for example, the oplastanden, the so-called 'Weld-on-teeth,' a customer might not be able to carry out drilling at this depth." STDS-Jantz also supplies equipment for geothermal and horizontal drilling, which are very much in vogue these days. "Our diversity and flexibility is enormous," Janssens says and continues: "In doing so, smaller customers are just as important to us as the big ones."
"Because of the different clientele worldwide, we know what the customer needs, we are aware of what is moving around the world and we offer solutions for various geographical conditions and at least as many applications. Everything is developed in-house, so we optimally match our versatile solutions to the specific demands from the customer. In doing so, we do not shy away from even the most difficult challenges." Expert technical expertise combined with excellent product quality ensures high performance and efficient use. "This makes us a good partner internationally for many customers in civil engineering," Janssens said.
