Arkance Systems is an outspoken proponent of the Dutch CAD Standard (NLCS) and developer of InfraCAD and Drill Control. And under the wings of Arkance, the largest provider of Autodesk solutions in the world. But Arkance Systems serves the Construction and Manufacturing fields in addition to Infra, and they are not infrequently intertwined.
"Indeed, we help clients from all three sectors with their digital transformation," explains Simone van Loon, Director of Marketing & Portfolio. "In doing so, we apply a working method that is founded on three pillars and connects all disciplines: people, process and technology. But we think 'people' are the most important. They have to do it, and are central to the whole process with us."
Marco Gelens, Account Manager Industry Sales, hooks up: "It's great to connect with customers who are about to embark on the 'digital adventure'. They do not yet know what I now know: they are going to benefit greatly from this. And that makes me happy every time." Marco travels town and country to provide interested parties with the right information. He advises on the solutions Arkance Systems has to offer: software, courses and consultancy, as well as hardware, application development and content creation. Simone adds: "Our real strength, of course, is that we can combine everything, AND that across disciplines."
"That's right," confirms Martijn Van Giels, Consultant Design & Manufacturing: "We talk to the customer about the process, the setup, what is going well and where just not. Autodesk's solutions are ready and set up to optimally support processes in the industries, but it's really the people who have to bring about the change and we help them with that."
Arkance Systems clearly gives a lot of attention to their customers' employees. They are inspired by showing them what it can bring them. Through on-site knowledge transfer, as well as workshops, webinars, videos and informative newsletters.
"We deliberately don't just engage with management," Martijn admits. "We especially involve employees in the inventory. Together we look for the best solution. That 'doing it together' contributes to a natural change process." Arkance Systems knows from experience that this takes a little more time in the preliminary process, but also that it brings a lot of benefit at the finish line.
Marco: "We are aware that customization is usually not necessary. A customer is often better served with a standard solution. Still, it's nice to know that there are multiple options."
Simone laughs, "You see, we know the Construction, Infra and Manufacturing industries like our inside pocket! And knowledge from one field often links back to the others." As examples, she mentions railroad and airport infrastructure, energy and grid operators, water boards and greenhouse construction. These are all areas where Construction, Infra and Manufacturing come together to a greater or lesser extent.
By the way, Arkance Systems' clientele does not only include large companies. We also pull out all the stops for SMEs and sole traders. Simone: "Although we are a global player, we apply all knowledge locally for everyone. We therefore like to build a long-term relationship with each client, based on equality, attention and quality."
