VolkerWessels Infrastructuur versterkt en verbreedt strategische samenwerking met VanMeijel

VolkerWessels Infrastructure strengthens and broadens strategic partnership with VanMeijel

VolkerWessels Infrastructure, a leading player in the Dutch infrastructure sector, announces an intensification of its long-standing cooperation with Van Meijel Automatisering. This renewed cooperation will not only be continued at the divisional units KWS and Van Hattum en Blankevoort, but will also be extended to VolkerRail, which after an extensive selection also chooses VanMeijel's Metacom platform.

For KWS and Van Hattum en Blankevoort, the new agreement is a continuation of a deep, historic relationship. Since the establishment of VanMeijel in 1987, KWS has been a partner from the very beginning. In the coming years, both companies will continue to build on a fully integrated digital landscape to make the working day even smarter and more efficient.

In addition, after a careful and independently conducted selection process, VolkerRail decided to make the switch to VanMeijel's Metacom platform. "The choice for VanMeijel was made for several strategic reasons," explains Seraf de Bekker, managing director at VolkerRail (since September 1 CFO at KWS). "The flexibility and in-depth industry-specific functionality of the Metacom platform allow us to tailor the software precisely to VolkerRail's unique work processes. It's critical that our system seamlessly aligns with the way we execute and manage projects."

Theo van Meijel, director-owner of VanMeijel, emphasizes the mutual value of the cooperation. "The long-standing relationship with KWS and Van Hattum en Blankevoort has enabled us to develop a platform that supports the practice of the infrastructure industry to the deepest level. The fact that VolkerRail now also chooses our solutions confirms the robustness and benefits of our platform. "Years of intensive cooperation on all fronts ensures success."

The collaboration provides tangible benefits that are felt throughout the organization. For example, there is real-time insight into the projects. All project information - from time registration to material use and invoicing - comes together in a single system. This makes integrated calculation and project management possible, which ensures good insight into progress and costs. VolkerRail is thus achieving a considerable simplification in the IT landscape: the number of applications required for a streamlined digital process can be significantly reduced with the switch to Metacom.

In addition, across infra companies, tens of thousands of purchase invoices are processed fully automatically each month, without human intervention. This significantly speeds up financial administration and reduces the risk of errors. Finally, the flexibility of the platform is reflected, for example, in equipment management. The management and issuance of rail-related materials and machines can now be easily adapted to specific client requirements without sacrificing stability.

"This partnership is not just about technology," said Seraf de Bekker. It is a partnership where VanMeijel's involvement in the development of digital innovation is close to the practice so that we can continuously improve and optimize our work processes further.
