"Still nice that in a relatively short time we are being awarded for our efforts by our supplier LaBounty." These are the words with which Jeroen Hornman, sales manager at Saes, shares the message about the presentation of LaBounty's "EMEA Dealer of the Year Award 2021" to Saes on LinkedIn. We speak to Hornman about this joyous occasion.
"If you do consider it, we have only recently been an exclusive dealer distributor for the Benelux," Hornman says. "To be precise, we have added LaBounty to our delivery program since April 1, 2020. Then there was also a party, with an official handshake from Kenan Çirak, on behalf of LaBounty. Now we are shaking hands again, because we have received a piece of recognition from LaBounty in the form of this award."
Kenan Çirak is Regional Sales Manager Europe at Stanley Black & Decker Inc. which includes LaBounty. We ask him about the motivation behind the award. He answers, "Saes has had great success with the large LaBounty shears, such as the MSD4000R Legend, the 2500R Legend and the 2250R Legend. These are scissors that are in a niche due to their size, but Saes is the perfect outlet for them. Their proven success ensures that they have rightfully received this 'Europe Middle East Africa' dealer of the year 2021 award."
In GWW 2 of 2020, we already told about the fact that LaBounty itself had approached Saes to see if business could be done. Hornman: "We are attractive to parties like LaBounty because of our good name, market penetration and the excellent service Saes International has, since then we have been doing exclusive distribution for LaBounty in the Benelux. The brand excels in heavy equipment, for example with the MSD7500R, a scissor with a weight of over13.5 tons, for machines weighing up to around 125 tons. Also doing well is the MSD2250R with 5.5 tons own weight, which is suitable for machines up to50 tons."
An important factor is the high level of service Saes offers. "That works both ways," Hornman says. "On the one hand toward suppliers like LaBounty, who are therefore assured of maximum support on their equipment items, and on the other hand toward our customers who no longer look only at the brand of attachment, but buy purely because the Saes name is attached to it. Saes therefore acts as an intermediary between "supply and demand" and can fulfill its promise in both directions. That's what made us big and that will always be a strong point."
In conclusion, Kenan Çirak says, "The award won not only represents a great achievement, but is also an encouragement to especially continue on this footing."
