Founded in Canada in 1958, Ritchie Bros. is today the world's largest industrial auction house and service provider of heavy equipment and commercial vehicles. The company offers its customers a full range of services such as equipment buying and selling, tools to manage machine fleets, procurement of machine parts, data insights and much more. RB made the crossing from Canada to Europe in 1987 and the first European auction took place at the Maasvlakte near Rotterdam. In 1998, Ritchie Bros. opened the first permamente auction location in Moerdijk. The company now has locations throughout Europe and the Middle East, but the Moerdijk auction site remains Ritchie Bros.'s largest site within the EMEA region, covering 25 hectares.
