Wessem Port Services expands transshipment capacity with new durable Fuchs MHL360F

The new Fuchs MHL360F, which has been added to the extensive fleet of machines, is equipped with a durable and economical Stage-V engine which meets the latest emission requirements, demonstrating once again that Wessem Port Services invests in durable and modern equipment.

In order to work quickly and efficiently, it was decided to equip the machine with a boom configuration that has a reach of 18 meters. With the grab included, the reach even reaches 19.5 meters. Thanks to this large reach, ships can be unloaded without any problems.

The economical Deutz TCD 7.8 6-cylinder engine mounted in the Fuchs MHL360F is coupled to Bosch-Rexroth pumps. Like its bigger brother the Fuchs MHL390F, the MHL360F has two pumps for the loading and grapple functions and a whole separate hydraulic pump for the swing function. The great advantage of this is that the machine can work optimally with the loading gear and grab without affecting the swing, large transfer capacities with low fuel consumption are the result.

For daily and routine maintenance of the machine, as with every Fuchs, there is a spacious walkway at the engine which can be accessed via a fold-out staircase. Here, in addition to safe maintenance work, the diesel and Adblue tanks can also be filled without having to climb onto the machine. Safety comes first in every Fuchs design.

The hydraulically adjustable cab ensures a viewing height of 6,100mm so that there is always a good view of the work to be performed. Wessem opted for the optional possibility of also moving the cabin forward by 2,200mm to provide an even better view of the work to be carried out.

Naturally, the operator has found everything in the cabin to be as ergonomic as possible, the seat is optimally adjustable so that all controls are within easy reach. Via the large touchscreen display, all functions can be operated, and frequently used functions such as lights and windshield wipers also have push buttons within easy reach of the operator so that they can be quickly switched on and off as needed. The enlarged air conditioning unit ensures that despite the large window surfaces, the cabin remains at the temperature set by the operator. Joystick steering provides even better visibility and space for the operator. Through the mounted overpressure unit, the operator can always perform his work safely.

Standard mounted cameras on rear and right sides give a clear view of what is taking place around the machine so safety is at the highest level. LED lighting gives the operator a great light output in the early and late hours in the range of the crane.

An additional camera is mounted on the scoop handle to provide even better visibility of the grab during unloading and prevent damage.

After an extensive instruction by the technical service of Van der Spek Vianen, the first vessel was immediately unloaded.
