From June 8 to 10, Van Kessel will make its appearance at the Technische Kontakt Dagen in Almere. Eye-catcher on stand 101 will be a new hydrogen trailer with filling installation with which the fuel supplier from Brabant will fill hydrogen-powered (construction) machinery on construction sites and work locations.
The trailer consists of a 30ft container with lightweight composite cylinders where hydrogen is stored under a pressure of 500 bar. In this way, 500 kg of hydrogen can be transported. The trailer contains a special filling installation that allows hydrogen machines to be refueled at 350 bar.
Joan van Kessel, General Manager of Van Kessel: "We believe that hydrogen will play an important role in the transition to a zero-emission GWW sector. A major stumbling block is the supply of hydrogen-powered machines on the construction site; they cannot simply drive to a filling station. With this tanker truck, we want to break that chicken-and-egg story and will gain experience in the distribution of hydrogen. To this end, we have already reached agreement with several GWW companies."
Hydrogen is now no stranger to Van Kessel. Since 2021, they have been operating the Hysolar Greenpoint hydrogen fueling station in Nieuwegein. In addition, a 2nd hydrogen filling station is currently being built in Dordrecht and the company is participating in 2 projects with electrolyzers for the production of green hydrogen.
Van Kessel now offers a complete range of CO2-neutral and zero-emission solutions. In addition to hydrogen, they are also a well-known supplier of HVO fossil-free diesel and offers one charging solutions to companies, on the road and on construction sites. This fall, Van Kessel will also begin distributing Hydrozine, a liquid hydrogen carrier for zero-emission gensets.
