Kobelco Construction Machinery Europe B.V. (KCME) announces the addition of the new SK210LC-11 and SK210NLC-11 (narrow undercarriage version) to its extensive range of high-performance construction machines. Delivering superior performance, greater efficiency and productivity, the new generation SK210(N)LC-11 follows Kobelco's elegant PERFORMANCE X DESIGN concept that provides the operator with excellent control and optimum comfort in a class where competition is fierce.
Since the development of the first generation 20-ton SK excavator in 1983, medium-duty machines have gained popularity for their versatility and suitability for all general construction applications. The new SK210(N)LC-11 is equipped with a STAGE V Hino engine, giving the machine an output of 124 kW, an excavating force of 143 kN (157 kN with Power Boost) and 228 kN of drawbar pull. The machine also features the Independent Travel function. This means that one hydraulic pump is used exclusively for driving and the other for the attachment. Heavy objects can thus be transported smoothly and stably over the job site.
The machine's higher operating weight (21,900-23,500 kg) provides greater stability and improved lifting capacity compared to the previous model. When equipped with the standard counterweight (4,300 kg), the SK210LC-11 is ideal for general construction activities and economical in terms of transportation (a requirement in some areas). The optional larger counterweight (4,900 kg) can be attached for e.g. using heavy or complex attachments, such as a tiltrotator.
"Competition in the 20-ton excavator market is very strong, but the new Kobelco SK210(N)LC-11 is more than up to the task. With an excellent balance between performance and stability, the SK210(N)LC-11 offers superior lifting capacity and fuel consumption, and the interior is completely tailored to the operator's needs."
