This included the introduction of an extensive new line of pumps as well as a firm commitment to sustainability and customer support. Managing director Chris van der Gaag tells more about it.
With the S-Line, Gorman-Rupp introduced a brand new series of mobile pump sets in 2018. "These pumps are available with connection sizes from 2 to 10 inches and yields of up to 750m3/hour," Van der Gaag emphasizes the versatility. "Moreover, the model series has a modular character. As a result, customer-specific versions can also be built, for example for higher pressures or flow rates up to more than 2,000 m3/hour. Furthermore, specific requests are possible, such as special colors."
The powerful S-Line pump sets are distinguished by a recognizable and sleek design and simple operation and maintenance. Moreover, thanks to in-house engineering and the fact that the complete pump set is built in-house in the Netherlands, virtually any customer requirement can be integrated. "Finally, with Pumptraxx we offer our own telemetry platform," said Van der Gaag. "This allows all important parameters to be monitored online via computer or smartphone."

Under the slogan "where blue meets green," Gorman-Rupp has made the concept of sustainability a permanent fixture in its corporate strategy, and the company can present some achievements in this area. For example, the pump specialist was the first supplier to supply its entire range of pump sets with modern Stage V clean diesel engines. Meanwhile, the S-Line model range has been approved to run on 100% HVO, a fossil-free fuel that allows a CO2-savings of 89% is achieved. While maintaining the full manufacturer's warranty. In addition, the company is developing innovative new zero-emission powertrains and will introduce a CO2-compensation program in the rental program. "At no additional cost to the customer, Gorman-Rupp offsets every kilogram of CO2 emitted by the diesel-powered pump sets into a CO2-compensation programs," says Van der Gaag. "The customer receives a certificate after the rental order confirming this, which he can use towards the end customer. Furthermore, our premises have recently been fitted with solar panels, making us energy-neutral."
Around the purchase and use of pump sets, Gorman-Rupp combines sustainability with far-reaching customer support. "When purchasing, we offer leasing and trade-in of the old equipment, among other things," says Van der Gaag. "In addition, at our spacious premises in Waardenburg, we have a very complete training center, where various training and courses in the field of pump technology are provided."
