Geopolymer-cement
The industrial process of Portland clinker production has been virtually unchanged for almost 200 years and, according to current insights, is more environmentally damaging than desirable. SCS uses an innovative technology to achieve non-conventional binders through so-called "alkaline-activation" in which a comparably strong and reliable "geopolymer cement" is created not on the basis of "hydration" but on the basis of "polymerization.
Successful pilot rail underpass Heiloo
As a newcomer, SCS has set itself the goal of developing innovative binder systems and making them available to the widest possible group of buyers in the market. A recent pilot in the form of constructively-reinforced geopolymer concrete in a railroad underpass of the Municipality of Heiloo, made possible with the support of ProRail and Rijkswaterstaat from 'the Climate Envelope', has caused a hunger for more among all stakeholders.
