Hydrauvision acquires IHC Fundex Equipment

For Hydrauvision, the acquisition of Fundex Equipment represents a valuable addition to its existing range of services. Hydrauvision itself is a renowned supplier of hydraulic equipment and components. Now, with the acquisition of Fundex Equipment, an important expansion with an OEM of foundation machines is added.

Connecting activities

Fundex Equipment has been developing foundation machines for contractors in the civil market for over 60 years. The wide pallet of foundation machines is equipped according to the latest technology. In addition, the Zeeland company provides the necessary accessories for the foundation work such as drilling boxes, ring vibrators and hydraulic power units. With this, the activities of Fundex Equipment fit well with the activities of Hydrauvision. In terms of purchasing, service, engineering and electrification, the companies have many similarities. At the same time, Fundex Equipment will also continue to operate independently to a large extent; customers and suppliers will notice little of the acquisition.

Major shared challenges

Especially in the near future, Hydrauvision and Fundex Equipment are facing challenges, in which they can join forces excellently. Because of the upcoming energy transition in the construction world, diesel engines are under discussion and more emission-neutral solutions will have to come. "A gigantic operation that requires completely new developments," knows John Brakman, sales manager of Fundex Equipment. "Now we can join forces." In addition, both companies want to expand their share of the global market, which requires bringing their products to global attention.

For poles with longer lengths and larger diameters

To even better meet the demand in the market Fundex Equipment is currently developing the FUNDEX F4800. This multifunctional foundation machine falls in capacity between the FUNDEX F3500 and the FUNDEX F5600 and can be used for soil displacement drilling piles and Vibro piles, among others. "An asset now that in the Dutch market the demand for piles with larger lengths and diameters is increasing," expects sales manager Arjan Roubos. The FUNDEX F4800 will be presented at Bauma 2022 in Munich.

The innovative MYRIX portal

An innovative service is the MYRIX portal, connected online to every Fundex foundation machine. On this, users can find all data from their machine, from historical and real-time data to pile data.

Simulator Training

In the field of safety, Fundex Equipment has put a lot of energy in recent years to offer a complete training module. The developed simulator is a realistic, digital representation of a FUNDEX machine, with which even ground data can be adjusted to practice the reaction in the machine. This makes the certificates a real added value to a machinist's diploma.

"We find that in the global market, this training builds confidence and improves safety."
