Anyone working in the infrastructure sector who wants to carry out projects efficiently must be able to rely on both people and equipment. With new machinery, additional trench formwork, and practical tools, Bunnik Verhuur en Grondverzet continues to expand its range of services. “Our customers can count on increasingly comprehensive support for every project, including those related to the energy transition,” assures company manager Perry Bunnik.
The fact that this approach works in practice is evident, among other things, in the widening of the A27 between Hooipolder and Noordeloos. “We currently have two sewer crews working there to support the contractor carrying out the widening,” says Perry. “We’re working here six days a week on the sewer installation. It’s an intensive job, where the reliability of our equipment and adequate staffing are essential to carrying out the work on schedule.”

Elsewhere in the country, too, Bunnik Verhuur en Grondverzet’s machinery is being put to full use. “Several mobile cranes are assisting our client, Nijkamp, with the construction of a new district heating network. This is a great example of a project that showcases the versatility of our fleet and our expertise. We’re not only active in traditional earthwork, sewer, and cable projects, but also in meeting the growing demand for infrastructure to support the energy transition,” Perry emphasizes.
Bunnik Rental and Earthmoving continues to expand its product range. “For example, we now offer steel road plates that are 3 meters long and 1.70 meters wide, which are used for trench shoring. New 4.50-meter steel beams provide additional support for the road plates. We’ve also purchased new trench shoring panels. These are 3.50 meters long and 1.60 meters high and can be easily moved with a 6-metric-ton mini excavator. A practical size for cable installation work, among other things.”

The fleet is also getting a boost. Two new 5-metric-ton loaders have been added to the lineup. The machines are equipped with a clean Stage V engine and are highly versatile for a wide range of tasks. “The decision to opt for a heavier model also stems from the increasing focus on safety at project sites. While smaller machines used to suffice, there is a growing demand for heavier equipment to carry out work safely and efficiently,” Perry explains.

In addition to investing in new equipment, existing equipment is, of course, also well maintained, says Perry. “For example, several pumps have been overhauled and repainted. The equipment must not only be in top technical condition; a well-maintained appearance is also part of that,” he says. “After all, well-maintained equipment conveys professionalism the moment it arrives on the job site.”
Bunnik Verhuur en Grondverzet’s course is therefore clear: to continue investing in people, equipment, and services. “By continually expanding our range of services, we can respond even better to our clients” needs—from sewer and cable work to district heating networks and earthwork.”
