In recent years, the focus within the drainage market has been strongly on climate adaptation, water purification and new applications. Logical, but according to Willy Bruckers, commercial director of TBS-SVA Group, it is time to also emphatically highlight the traditional product range again. “That is precisely where we show how broad and complete we are as a group.”
With nearly 200 models in the field of point drainage, TBS-SVA Group has the most comprehensive range of products in the market. From street and sidewalk gullies to combination and industrial gullies, divided between two brands. “TBS has been a quality leader in the Netherlands for many years and represents an absolute premium,” says Bruckers. “At the same time, SVA offers a wide range of solutions, from premium to budget-friendly. And importantly, even those budget products are fully KOMO-certified and meet all standards.”
That combination makes it possible to make the right choice for each application. “Not every application requires the most luxurious product. Different requirements apply in a residential area than at a logistics hub. We can serve that entire spectrum.”

Also within line drainage, the range has recently been further expanded, including the environmentally friendly FILCOTEN® gutters (in cooperation with the Austrian BG Graspointner). These represent an attractive alternative to traditional polymer gutters. “Lightly manageable, at least as strong as polymer concrete, but BTEX-free,” Bruckers says. “This is in line with changing regulations and new soil requirements.”
In addition, TBS-SVA Group is the market leader in industrial drainage, with heavy-duty reinforced grating gutters and concealed gutters. “At locations such as Schiphol Airport, premium is of course the standard. But on an industrial estate or loading and unloading site, a budget-friendly solution may suffice. We can advise which product best suits the requirements of the location and can always provide a suitable solution. With the launch of the AquaCare ECO oil and lamella separator range, we are providing a further expansion of water treatment products for the industrial market.”
Innovation is not only in new product groups, but also in further development of existing products, Bruckers believes, citing TBS's recently introduced well capping line EQ9 as an example. “This has been upgraded to a higher load class (from D to E), while price level is comparable to that of an SVA product,” Bruckers explains. “This is possible because of advanced computer-based simulation and optimization. We analyze exactly where and what type of cast iron is needed. This is how we reduce weight and costs, without sacrificing performance.” Extra attention has been paid to service life, including a wear-resistant PUR rubber and a three-point spring arm lock that prevents movement of the lid. “Less movement means less wear on the rubber overlay as well as no rattling.” The product did prove its quality.
The breadth of the range means that TBS-SVA Group is used in a variety of projects. From heavy industrial environments to smaller-scale applications in residential and commercial areas: each time with products that fit the load, use and budget. Thereby, quality and certification remain the starting point, regardless of the price level. “Both traditional products and some recent developments, including the EQ9 pit cover, will soon be on display at the Infra Relatiedagen,” Bruckers says in conclusion.
