Everything for construction site equipment in one hand

Setting up a construction site for an infra project often starts with the placing of road plates or dragline partitions for the benefit of the (heavy) equipment and increasingly also with the placing of construction fences. Lekkerkerker Rotterdam has all these articles in house and can deliver them from stock. An interview with director Hans Stockmann.

In the field of steel road plates, Lekkerkerker Rotterdam is the reference in the Netherlands. "We have quite a range of steel but also plastic road plates in our rental package in a wide variety of sizes," says Stockmann. "The emphasis is on steel road plates, but plastic road plates can be a good alternative in some cases. For example, in situations where they need to be manually dragged during a project. Plastic road plates are up to 10 times lighter than steel ones, which makes them 'friendlier' to handle."

Dragline partitions and construction fences
Lekkerkerker Rotterdam is also the right address for dragline bulkheads. Stockmann: "Dragline mats come into their own especially on wet and swampy surfaces. Then you won't get away with driving plates. We recently started supplying auxiliary materials, such as drive-up wedges to enable you to drive up the bulkheads in a natural way. Or dragline bulkheads surrounded by a steel frame for even greater stability. We offer a suitable solution for every application. This also applies to the framing of a construction site. We rent construction fences including feet and clamps, with or without a gate or tarp to obstruct the view. We have plenty of construction fences in stock. For large lengths, we deliver the fences thirty at a time on one trolley. Quite efficient in terms of handling."

Lekkerkerker Rotterdam is a familiar face at InfraTech. "Ever since the first edition, we have been present at the fair. At the 2019 edition we will show a number of our products, including the latest auxiliary materials. We share our stand with Van Noort from Waddinxveen, the transport company that has long been responsible for transporting our materials to and from the construction site."
