Concrete maintenance extends life

Concrete maintenance extends the lifespan

Repairing and restoring concrete is a profession in itself. A challenge that requires both experience and expertise. Various issues must be taken into account: are there signs of concrete damage, such as cracks, erosion, flaking, discoloration? Is it about visible work or are there demands on the quality of the concrete repair and/or on the concrete construction?

Martijn Sinke of Sinke Concrete Maintenance has a suitable solution for almost any concrete problem. "We are a no-nonsense company specializing in concrete repairs, both aesthetic and structural. Wherever there is concrete, we can work. With more than 15 years of experience in the Netherlands and Belgium, we prove our strength and reliability in every project. Because a cliché like 'a deal is a deal' seems so obvious, but is crucial in construction nowadays. We work with short lines, do business directly and quality is our top priority. Our many repeat clients, including BAM, Ballast Nedam, MBG Antwerp and J.P. van Eesteren, are particularly satisfied with the durability of our concrete work."

Concrete maintenance in the broadest sense of the word
"Whether it is repair or maintenance of balconies, galleries, facades, bay windows and stairs, or the larger concrete work on bridges, overpasses, road and railroad tunnels, nothing is too crazy for us. Regardless of the project, research is required first to arrive at a proper repair plan tailored to the desired life of the concrete structure and the available budget. We have several repair methods at our disposal: manual concrete repairs, concrete spraying, pumping mortars using thick-dust pumps, injecting cracks with epoxy resin or PUR. Which technique and materials are used depends on the requirements set, the type of damage and the construction. Prior to the repair work, we remove loose parts by chopping, breaking, grinding and/or boucharding the surface layer with grit or water blasting. If necessary, the reinforcement is de-rusted or removed. We also specialize in concrete coating, concrete cleaning, concrete finishing as well as consulting on concrete protection. Nowadays we see more and more concrete repairs in historical buildings. For our client Hegeman Beton- en industriebouw we have worked in Amsterdam on the upgrade of the stations of metro line Oost, so that they fit again in the environment and match the image of the architect. This involves more restoration than repair of the concrete and requires a different approach. But you can rely on Sinke Betononderhoud for that too," Martijn said.
