Based in Koudekerk aan den Rijn, Latexfalt focuses on the development and production of a wide range of solutions for road building, construction and industry based on bitumen and polymers. With more than 70 years of practical experience, the company has extensive expertise within its field of activity. It is a quality that, combined with a strong focus on innovation and co-creation, results in new sustainable products that will make tomorrow's world a better place.

Today's Latexfalt was created in 2000 following a joining of forces between the companies Vauatol, Cindu (Road Construction) and Latexfalt. However, the company has now been on the road for nearly three-quarters of a century inventing, producing and marketing bitumen and bitumen emulsions. An activity for which it has its business just fine. In the form of an ultramodern factory, but also with its own laboratory, where product development and improvement are continually underway. "This allows us to respond specifically to changes within the market," explains general manager Anthon Tolboom. "Especially in the field of sustainability and circularity. There we are betting on high-quality bitumen products and new, revolutionary solutions."

Operating worldwide

Latexfalt's products are found everywhere. The company now exports its products to over fifty countries around the globe. Latexfalt is a specialist in producing binders to be colored for bicycle paths, for example, and has customers throughout Europe. "Especially after the corona crisis, many countries started investing in bicycle paths. This is a growth market for us," Tolboom says. Latexfalt is also an important partner for other companies with toll blending (producing based on the customer's recipe). Here it produces products and semi-finished products for various customers that these companies market in the Netherlands and Europe.

Always a solution

The experience gradually gained within Latexfalt has resulted in extensive knowledge and expertise which the company is happy to share with the market. This is done primarily through a team of account managers; enthusiastic specialists who provide the customer with appropriate advice. Regardless of the nature of the question, problem or application. "In addition, we serve our customers with logistical solutions," Tolboom said. "For example, by providing trailers at the site of the work and refilling them on site. If required, we can even completely take care of the application of both hot binders and cold emulsions. For that too we have well-trained employees and with our spray trucks the right equipment at hand."

Certified to ISO 9001:2015 and VGM Checklist Contractors (VCA*) Rev. 2017/6.0 standards, Latexfalt is constantly conducting pioneering research within the transition framework. The company likes to play a pioneering role, especially in terms of developing alternative products for the construction and infrastructure sector and making a well-founded contribution to the circular economy. In this context, the development of a binder made from residues is a new and above all successful step that contributes substantially to extending the service life of asphalt roads.
