For many decades, Saes International has been the specialist in hydraulic attachments for earth, road and water construction applications, demolition and scrap. With its Epiroc, Labounty, Saes, VTN and Xcentric Ripper brands, the internationally operating company offers a suitable solution for almost all applications. Sales manager Jeroen Hornman updates us on the latest developments and gives us a look behind the scenes in Weert.
The good-humored sales manager gets straight to the point. "With Epiroc we offer a comprehensive program of demolition hammers from very small (50 kilograms) to a heavy 10-ton model. Many users know how to find us for both purchasing and renting these products. Because even if you need a demolition hammer or any other attachment for a certain period of time, you have come to the right place."
For dredging companies, quarries and slag, Saes has the unique product Xcentric Ripper in the program. "In combination with a cutter from Erkat, for example, this provides a nice solution for, among other things, vibration-free underwater trenching for cables and pipes," indicates Jeroen.
To cut iron, Saes relies on the renowned Labounty. "This American-made shear is definitely among the best iron shears with a high lifespan and maximum production," Jeroen knows from experience. "Labounty is considered the inventor and developer of the iron shears with a wealth of experience, which is gladly shared with (prospective) users to ensure maximum production."
While we're at it in iron, of course we can't ignore our latest expansion, continues Jeroen. Since 2023, Saes has included hydraulically driven magnets in its product program. "The demand to get even more efficiency out of residual material is increasing. Attachments must also be especially flexible for multiple machines. With our hydraulically driven magnets, we can provide this just fine."
Saes also offers suitable attachments for the world of concrete crushing and clearing, mainly from the manufacturer VTN. "VTN's crushers are distinguished by their simplicity, but also by their wide range, ranging from fixed crushers, rotary crushers and processors in which different jaws can be used," explains Jeroen. "VTN distinguishes in its demolition sorting program between grabs for demolition and transfer. Specifically for demolition applications, the grabs are equipped with bars, while the demolition sorting grabs for transshipment purposes are instead equipped with a perforated plate."
Saes vibratory hammers have been made at Saes for many years. Jeroen: "This completely Western European product is equipped with a double-center drive which creates maximum impact force and that guarantees maximum production. The vibrating block is widely used in the construction of shoring and in road construction to compact soil or granulate."
In addition to this extensive assortment, of course, we must not forget the origins of Saes. "We still supply excavator buckets and pallet frames every day, mainly focused on excavators. These attachments have long been a household name in the market. In short, with a wide range of products and brands, Saes has a suitable solution for virtually all applications. Both rental and purchase," concludes Jeroen.
