Management change at Geometius

As of July 1, Jasper Schuur is the new managing director of Geometius. He takes over from Jasper Ambagtsheer who has been in charge of the company since 2000. Jasper Schuur explains: "For me this is a very cool step: after 5 years as commercial manager now in charge of the whole company. I am very much looking forward to working with all colleagues involved to continue to delight our existing and future customers with all that Trimble and the other brands we represent can offer."

The right direction...

At the turn of the millennium, Geometius' well-known cry arose: "the right direction. Of course, this refers to positioning and navigation, but also to Geometius' direction. Over the past nearly 30 years, Geometius has grown into a thriving company, largely under the leadership of Jasper Ambagtsheer and in collaboration with his associate Rob Bik. "I am more the cooperating foreman and entrepreneur type and can think and structure processes well. This combined with Rob Bik's geodetic knowledge and drive made us a good team all these years." explains Jasper Ambagtsheer.

Why has he now decided to change course by handing over the leadership to Jasper Schuur? "There are several reasons that I am now handing over the day-to-day management to Jasper Schuur, but the most important one is that Jasper Schuur has been completely ready for this for some time. Primarily in the interest of Geometius, Rob Bik and I have decided to step back and make way for the new generation. We will continue to work for Geometius, just a little less and each in a different role. So the wonderful adventure is not over yet, but it will have a new chapter."

Another direction...

What are Jasper Schuur's plans with Geometius? Is he going in a completely different direction? He says: "Things are going well, so there is no reason to suddenly start doing things completely differently. Of course, we continue to search every day for products and services to unburden our current and future customers even more so that they can do what they do best. The recent developments in the field of monitoring and trace measurements are good examples of that and there are some great things in the pipeline in that regard."

Staying on course...

Naturally, Jasper Ambagtsheer and Rob Bik will remain closely involved with Geometius. They will ensure that important pillars such as 'The customer is central, but our employees are number one' and 'We go for quality, because quality always comes out on top in the end' will be maintained. With their years of experience, knowledge and expertise, they will help Jasper Schuur stay on the right course!

Geometius, how it began....

In 1994 Geometius was founded by Henk Schuringa and from 1996 Jasper Ambagtsheer joined the company and then took over together with Rob Bik in 2004. Together they let the company grow into a successful and financially healthy company with almost 30 employees. Employees with a passion for the surveying profession, the technique and everything that comes with it.
