With a wide range of foundation machines and almost 100 years (!) of experience, H. van Dieren Hei- en Waterwerken is a renowned player in the world of foundation engineering. To ensure continuity, the family business continuously invests in people and equipment. For example, the first fully electric piling rig in the Netherlands will soon be put into operation.
H. van Dieren is an extremely versatile family business. "We have a wide range of machinery in different ranges, so we can provide the right solution for every project," begins Alex van Dieren, director of H. van Dieren. "It ranges from equipment for the installation of piles in large diameters and long springs to the small(er) machines that we can also use very well in confined spaces. Over the years, we have built up a loyal customer base that calls on us again and again for a wide variety of projects. The fact that we have our own transport with flatbed trailers also makes us extremely flexible and self-sufficient."
H. van Dieren's machines have been a familiar sight at Casterhoven, a huge expansion district of Kesteren, for almost nine years. "We work here in phases on the foundation of the neighborhood, and are currently working on phase 18 on behalf of Bouwbedrijf Van Grootheest," Van Dieren explains. "The piling work we are doing here is very diverse. It requires the use of various machines, mostly from the middle segment in the 4 and 5 ton range. We install piles in lengths from 10 to 13 meters, and phase 19 is also already scheduled. Such (large-scale) projects suit us down to the ground. In Utrecht, Lent and Nijmegen, too, we have worked in various phases to lay the foundations for new residential areas. All in all, we have already installed more than 6,000 piles here."
As a company, you have to think about the environment to stay in business, Van Dieren believes. "We follow sustainable developments closely and, as a family business, are also closely involved in the development of machines. Because if we invest in sustainable equipment, the technology has to be reliable and the capacity sufficient to work with it for a full working day. We have now found such a machine. In fact, we will soon put the first fully electric piling rig into operation. A first by Dutch standards. It enables us to lay a solid foundation for every project completely emission-free."
