As a consultancy and engineering firm with years of experience in the infrastructure market, INNOCY works daily on projects to keep the Netherlands accessible, livable and safe. From consultancy in the research phase of a project to writing specifications and the management and maintenance of an asset. Sustainability is the common thread in all these projects. An interview with business development manager Jasper Staadegaard and managing director Wilko in 't Anker.
INNOCY operates in five areas: Asset Management, Technology & Automation, Project Management, Safety and Data & Information. In these we advise both clients such as Rijkswaterstaat, large provinces and municipalities and contractors, so in fact all contractors in the Netherlands," says Staadegaard. "For instance, we are now working for consortium VeenIX on the A9 Badhoevedorp. From the start of the tender to the opening permit, we are fully responsible for asset management. Definitely a prestige project. We are also working for BAAK on the Blankenburg connection, for Levvel on the Afsluitdijk and we are involved in the tender for the A27 South, among other things."
At INNOCY, we find it important to be able to cover the entire lifecycle of a project or process, both on the client and contractor side, says In 't Anker. "Thereby we notice an increased attention for everything around sustainability. On the one hand, because governments themselves are putting more emphasis on it, but on the other hand, we also want to challenge the market to come up with fresh ideas and suggestions for the most sustainable realization of tunnels or other structures. Regardless of whether it is imposed or appreciated beforehand, we like to contribute our knowledge to designing projects as sustainable as possible. Because we are often involved from the early stages onwards, we can actively contribute ideas and direction. Examples include the use of solar panels to power lighting or fans in tunnels, but also choosing more environmentally friendly markings or paints. And in all five domains in which we are active to keep the Netherlands accessible, livable and safe."
INNOCY is also represented at InfraTech. "During the exhibition, we like to engage in a conversation about the wishes and needs in the market and where we as INNOCY can offer added value," says Staadegaard. "We present ourselves to the general public as a party that not only assists clients and contractors with overarching advice on the five domains, but also takes responsibility for tackling matters in a smarter, more efficient and sustainable way. Hands-on from a technical point of view. Visitors to our stand also have a chance to win a free asset management quick scan of their organization. So plenty of reasons to visit us during InfraTech 2023."
