Design and Planning software for precast concrete elements

The company has been developing software for construction and infrastructure since 1998.  Since 2018, the focus has been entirely on developing applications for the precast concrete industry. Unique is the fully integrated workflow with PreCastOffice. From the first customer contact, design, production, delivery to administrative handling is managed with i-Theses' in-house developed design and planning modules. According to Rony Verlee of i-Theses, this is definitely an added value for the precast concrete industry, where production is leading in many cases.

i-Theses' design software is based on Autodesk applications. "We always start from standard available modules and continue to develop from there to suit our customers' needs (and wishes)," says Verlee. "Drawing precast concrete elements is one thing, production, transport and stockyard planning is at least as important. In practice, this is often handled in different office applications with all the problems that entails. Within PreCastOffice, specific, seamlessly integrated planning modules are available to meet the specific requirements. The software is modular and provides, among other things, concrete information on capacity, production status, stock, logistics, delivery, etc. The latest applications are completely web-based making data "anytime, anywhere on any device" a reality today. Precast elements can be quickly designed and modified in 3D via parametric tools.

 

Recently, the iTs Project Manager was also launched. This tool offers a true CRM package with document management and project follow-up tools. With the Project Manager it is even possible to have the drawing office plan and assign projects, taking into account the expected delivery date. Verlee: "To arrive at a concrete solution for our customers, we always sit down with them first. We look at the needs, the means of production and the production process. From there we set up and configure our software and, where necessary, develop it further. Naturally, we guide our customers through the entire process. This ranges from basic training and configuration to support during the start-up of concrete projects."

i-Theses' drawing applications are often based on the Autocad platform. Besides the 'standard' solutions, the Belgian IT specialist has also developed a number of other proprietary applications, including for topography, environment (soil, surface waters, et cetera), precast concrete floors and extensions for the Revit platform.
