Quality site shielding

The work on the Markermeer dikes extends over a 33-kilometer stretch divided into three subareas. Each subarea has a chain park from which the dike reinforcement operation is controlled. As the Alliance's framework contractor, ABC Hekwerk Noord-West screened off the three chain parks with fencing and provided them with an access gate. 

ABC Hekwerk North-West is part of the national ABC Hekwerk organization. "The organization has divided our country into regions, which means that every project is carried out by local parties," said Rob Duinkerken of ABC Hekwerk North-West. "We are well known in the region and have built up nice contacts and relationships over the years. The same goes for the partners in the Markermeerdijken Alliance. By invitation, we responded to the tender invitation and emerged as the best party. For the site fencing on the project, we are working on the basis of a framework agreement we entered into with the Alliance."

His two sons Rob and Ed have taken over the daily management and since last year the only grandson Daan is also involved in the company. He is now learning the intricacies of the trade in practice."
