Matexpo 2021: successful for both organizers and exhibitors

During the most recent Matexpo, the biennial international trade fair for construction equipment, STDS-Jantz was also present. At the Kortrijk Xpo, the developer and manufacturer of high-quality foundation drilling equipment presented itself in all its glory. Marnik Janssens, representative for the Benelux, among others, looks back with satisfaction.

The 39th Matexpo was a great success for both organizers and exhibitors. "At our stand, a large proportion of the more than 41,000 visitors showed far-reaching interest in the hydraulic drill motors for mounting on excavators, a product group with which we generally serve a niche market," Janssens said. In addition, the anchor drilling equipment (accessories for self-drilling anchors and strand anchors) and the range of drill bits for well drilling and geothermal drilling caught the public's eye. 

Suitable for welding

The latter group deserves further explanation. STDS-Jantz's range of drill bits for well drilling and geothermal drilling has three subgroups. In addition to the wing chisels with threaded couplings and the assortment of reamers and stabilizers, the range also includes wing chisels that can be welded or fitted with a lost drill pipe thread. "Sturdy tools that are especially popular in the Netherlands for performing water drilling and foundation work," Janssens said. "With this type, the wings are connected with a spot weld. That makes welding around a drill pipe or drill rod very easy. For water drilling, the wings can optionally be made longer. Depending on the substrate, the user can choose the desired flush opening during welding. Furthermore, the option with wire is interesting for installing micropiles or screw injection piles. We have a solution for every job."
