Vanderkamp continues to grow with Solutions, Rental and Water Treatment

Vanderkamp is rapidly developing from a specialist in pumping solutions to a director of integrated water projects. In addition to customized solutions for large projects with specific points of interest (Solutions), the company is expanding with Rental - for fast, practical pumping solutions - and Water Treatment, focused on sustainable water quality. “We want to be a partner that provides solutions, regardless of the size or complexity of the demand,” says Peter Blom, Water Treatment Europe product manager. Together with Maurice Dourleijn, branch manager Rental, he explains how Vanderkamp combines knowledge and flexibility to relieve customers at home and abroad.

Knowledge as a distinctive strength

The new rental branch focuses on mostly short-term projects that do not require engineering, says Dourleijn. “We noticed a need in the market for simplicity and speed, but with expert guidance. No ‘drop & go’, but thinking along, advising and guaranteeing quality. The strength lies in the knowledge we bring from Solutions and our extensive stock from Selwood, among others. Customers can come to us for individual pumps with accessories, but also for a total solution that our skilled people will install and deliver.”

Water quality under pressure

Blom sees demand for water treatment rising sharply due to stricter environmental standards and circular ambitions. “We focus on three segments. In industry, we treat and reuse process water. At wastewater treatment plants and drinking water companies, we make provisions during maintenance projects. And in construction and infrastructure projects, we ensure that water is treated before it is discharged.” Dourleijn explains that discharging the right water quality is important. “We don't want to have contamination in our drinking water. With our knowledge and the technology of sister company Siltbuster, we can target contamination.”

Future Vision

Within Workdry, Vanderkamp continues to grow, starting with an expansion into Germany. “We are using expertise from Solutions to further professionalize in Rental and Water Treatment as well,” concludes Blom. “The short lines remain, we find that important. We want to leave no issue unanswered and delve into the challenges our customers face. And thanks to these three complementary pillars, that may be very broad. So we continue to offer the right solution for every water challenge.”
