For almost forty years, Loonbedrijf & Grondverzet Jan van der Lee has been a welcome partner for many (large) infrastructure contractors in our country. On the Markermeer dikes, the family business is called upon for all kinds of services: from earthmoving with its own mobile excavators, nota bene in the company colors of partner KWS Infra, to transport with low-loaders and everything in between.
We have had a close relationship with KWS Infra for almost 40 years, Rick van der Lee acknowledges. "Various machines including permanent operator are actually always at the service of the road construction company, such as (mobile) excavators, shovels and more compact equipment. At the time, for example, we invested in the first electric 2-tonner in the Netherlands and drive electric vehicles back and forth on large(er) projects. Our work on the Markermeer dikes includes levelling and finishing foundations. Because we often work with fixed pairs, a machine with a fixed operator, our people are familiar with the 'local customs'."
Loonbedrijf & Grondverzet Jan van der Lee has a huge fleet of machinery with various tractors and excavators from 800 kilograms to 25 tons and mobile excavators from 9 to 21 tons. "We work from two entities," says Van der Lee. "In addition to earthmoving, Van der Lee Amstelveen Groen is involved in cultural engineering work, in the broadest sense of the word. That makes us an all-round company that can provide a solution for every challenge. I never hear our planners say 'no'. We arrange everything, even on weekends and nights we are available and versatile. Thanks to our professional team of over 65 permanent employees, which we can expand with our flexible pool to up to 140 people or more. We therefore contribute to many large infrastructure works. That's where we really feel at home."
