Groundwork in IJsseldelta - 'What a beautiful project'

Recycling Kampen was involved in this work by Boskalis. Buijert Zwartendijk Kampen supported this work by deploying various earthmoving machines. Both companies are located a stone's throw from the IJsseldelta.

Loon- en grondverzetbedrijf Buijert Zwartendijk Kampen bv has existed for almost fifty years and supplies equipment that is needed to transport raw materials from A to B. The shovels, tractors with tippers and cranes in the company's extensive fleet of machinery all comply with the latest technology and current environmental requirements. In addition, Buijert Zwartendijk Kampen has the people in-house who can operate this equipment expertly. "This means that even large earthmoving jobs can often be arranged with just a phone call," says Klaas Buijert of Buijert Zwartendijk Kampen. For project IJsseldelta, Buijert Zwartendijk Kampen supplied various machines and works for earthmoving.

Recycle where possible

Recycling Kampen's main activity is the treatment, processing and collection of construction, demolition and industrial waste, making as much waste as possible suitable for reuse. "We specialize is the recycling of stony materials," explains Harry Mooiweer of Recycling Kampen. "With this, the IJsseldelta was right up our alley. We have various types of granulates here to apply in road construction. We take in waste materials such as wood, rubble, construction and demolition waste and tar-free asphalt. Tar asphalt is thermally cleaned. In this way, as many waste materials as possible are made suitable for reuse or disposed of responsibly."

Pleasant collaboration

Within the IJsseldelta project, Buijert Zwartendijk Kampen and Recycling Kampen worked together for four years. In addition, there was the intensive cooperation with Boskalis. A pleasant client, according to Buijert and Mooiweer. "It is a party that schedules the work in a timely manner. In addition, consultation is always possible. They are willing to look for the solution that is feasible for everyone. That has also made Project IJsseldelta a nice project."
