In infrastructure projects, the greatest challenge often lies not in new construction, but in the moment when old and new meet. Such is the case with the widening of the A2 motorway between the Het Vonderen and Kerensheide interchanges. Existing technical installations must continue to function, while at the same time modern techniques are introduced in phases. The continuous synergy between old and new systems requires direction and a deep understanding of how both worlds interact. Mijnsen understands this like no other.

At two strategic locations - at Mebin Born and at the Roosteren exit - Kok Lexmond is working on crushing concrete rubble and producing specific asphalt products, mostly from the A2 motorway. This makes the company an important link in the circular processing of building materials in the project.

As an interdisciplinary provider of engineering services and field investigations, Geonius was engaged at an early stage in the widening of the A2 motorway. The project demonstrates the versatility of the company and shows how one discipline became the flywheel for a broad, multidisciplinary collaboration.
