Self digital surveying for the GWW sector
Van der Heijden: "We offer a complete package, this contains everything you need to start immediately with digital surveying."

Self digital surveying for the civil engineering sector

Bridges and dikes, bike paths and roads, cables and pipes and a fiber optic connection. Whether modifying an existing situation or creating a new one, knowing the centimeter-accurate position is important. The Dutch marXact helps you do just that. From now on, you measure positions yourself with their UNI-GR1 digital GNSS receiver.

Made in Holland

marXact is based in Hilversum, North Holland, and founded in 2017. Commercial director and co-founder Tommy van der Heijden: "We saw that performing measurements in ground, road and hydraulic engineering involved an extensive work process, partly because parties had to wait several days for each other at the various steps. This rightly led to a lot of frustration, not least among colleagues in the field. To simplify and speed up the processes, we developed the UNI-GR1. A complete system with which points can be measured digitally, to the nearest centimeter. Completely developed by our in-house development team with help from our support department and produced locally. So truly Made in Holland, with more than enough opportunities to visit our office for a demonstration or for specific questions."

Taking your own digital measurements in civil engineering is accessible to everyone.

Efficiency first

Today, many GWW companies use software packages such as 3D BIM or GIS applications in their ground measurements. Field workers take a tablet full of stored digital project drawings to the measurement site, then use them to measure data in. But what if these maps are not clear? "Often then the surveyor is called in, but that's not necessary at all. You wait until this person has time and that is not efficient. With our UNI-GR1 you quickly measure in new points, lines and polygons yourself, after which this information is integrated directly into our own software. Work can continue, there is no project delay or budget overrun by hiring external help. In addition, users comply with the latest Dutch legislation because, among other things, KLIC notification is integrated into our software."

marXact offers a complete solution. Available for €4,995, UNI-Complete also includes the UNI-Connect surveying software that works on any Internet-connected device, data correction in the form of UNI-RTK Premium for centimeter-accurate positions and accessories such as tablet and stick to work properly. Not unimportant is access to the UNI-Cloud, where data is stored and automatically synchronized. Efficiency first, in other words.

Complete surveying experience

Van der Heijden: "We offer a complete package, this contains everything you need to start measuring digitally right away. That is what UNI-Complete is, but there are also customers who do not use it. They still have a tablet in the cupboard or a current subscription with another provider that corrects data. That's no problem at all! We like to think along with you how we can best help someone even then. You can also choose to integrate the UNI-GR1 position or project data into other software through our own API. For example, we already have connections with DiaFlow, GeolinQ, Infrakit and SpeerIT, among others. Integrations that fit the work in the GWW sector, we like to respond to that by making connections possible. Ultimately, it's about making digital surveying easy for everyone. The complete surveying experience must be good, and we are happy to contribute our bit (yet to be measured) to that."

Preparation, implementation, evaluation
