Clients such as the Department of Public Works, provinces and municipalities, water boards and commercial companies regularly call on A-Quin for the inspection of structures, electrical engineering and infrastructure objects. Would you also like to help keep the Netherlands safe and accessible at often unique locations? Then read on quickly.
Many of the engineering structures in the Netherlands were built in the 1960s and 1970s. They are regularly subjected to heavier loads and more intensive use than they were designed for. "Future-proof infrastructure is important for the Netherlands. It forms the basis of our economy; villages, cities and facilities must be accessible. Good infrastructure ensures better mobility, saves time and, on balance, costs less," says Mans Damen, director of A-Quin, an inspection and consulting firm in the disciplines of electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, civil engineering and asset management.
Mans therefore welcomes the cabinet's plans to invest more in infra. For maintenance, replacement and renovation, the government is allocating no less than 14.3 billion euros in 2026. Mans: "I see the will to invest at the municipalities, provinces and also at the national government. The importance is seen. Only the implementation is stagnating. It is not getting off the ground. That is worrisome. This will result in poorer mobility. People will notice this for example by bridge closures and more traffic jams and higher costs. At A-Quin, we also notice this. But in the increase in the number of requests for an inspection: electrical, mechanical and civil engineering. We carefully map the defects with a risk analysis, whether or not supplemented with a cost analysis. This reveals the true condition of a structure. Can it still be done? How long can it remain in service? What really needs to be repaired? What are the costs of what really needs to be done? A-Quin specialists provide reliable answers to these questions."
More applications, means A-Quin is growing. And new colleagues are desperately needed for this. Connect your future to A-Quin and give the Netherlands a fantastic infrastructure; because your future is our infrastructure.
