All CPT vehicles have modern wireless technology and can be deployed on land, shallow water, inner-city areas or indoors. In consultation with the customer and depending on the accessibility, the most suitable method of implementation is determined. Water tension and/or conductivity probes are used for water-specific investigations. The presence of cohesive layers and/or the transition from fresh to salt water is hereby mapped. A detailed description of the soil and stabbing of undisturbed monters is done using sonic or pulse drilling.
The geotechnical consultants have years of experience and knowledge of the subsurface, especially in the north-west of the Netherlands. In cooperation with structural engineers, customized recommendations are made, where each consultant has his own specialism. To perform the geotechnical calculations a choice is made from the available calculation programs: analytical formulas, software of Deltares and/or Plaxis.
The hydrology department specializes in consulting related to drainage and urban hydrology. These enthusiastic consultants are involved in a variety of projects for both private individuals, public authorities and building consortia. With a practical approach, executing parties are consulted at an early stage so that the most efficient design is worked out within the standards and regulations. Using groundwater models, hydrological calculations are carried out and presented in a geographic information system.
The service does not stop after preparing opinions. They also liaise with the municipality and/or the Water Board to apply for the various water permits. During execution, monitoring can be provided. Automatic data loggers are placed in monitoring wells in which the groundwater level can be remotely monitored and tested against predetermined alarm and limit values.
