That's one from BUKO!

Anyone who joins BUKO becomes a member of the BUKO family. This family is constantly growing, both in numbers and in terms of knowledge and projects. "Whether you are a starter or an experienced professional: you can make a difference with us. On the truck, in the office, on site or in the shed," says Hanneke Roelands, Recruitment Coordinator at BUKO Infrasupport.

Following passion

About a year ago, Arien van Keulen was welcomed as a new family member. "I have always had a great interest in traffic," he says. After a year of technical business administration and then the Spatial Development and Mobility course at Windesheim University of Applied Sciences, it became clear during internships at Rijkswaterstaat, Van Gelder Verkeerstechniek and Royal HaskoningDHV that his preference was traffic flow. After graduating, he searched for a suitable vacancy at a large company.

Getting to know various departments

Arien applied as a Traffic Engineer at BUKO Infrasupport. "During the job interview, it was suggested that I could join various departments as a trainee. That immediately appealed to me. That way I got to know all kinds of divisions and discovered what appealed to me in terms of work." And that turned out to be engineering. Arien now works as a project engineer in the Integral Works department, which is located in Bunnik together with the Dynamic Traffic Management department. "Here I can incorporate the knowledge I gained as a trainee in the other departments into my daily work. It's hard work, but you also get a lot of responsibilities and even your own projects. Colleagues give constructive feedback and are always willing to answer questions," Arien says and feels he has learned a lot from this. When asked if it feels like he has been thrown in the deep end, he says, "Yes, but they taught me how to swim." Arien emphasizes that after finishing his studies, it was actually very pleasant for him to be well guided in that process.

Well guided

Hanneke also agrees that good supervision is crucial for new employees. "We find it important that you feel good with us, now and in the future. So we listen to your wishes and how you want to develop within the organization." In addition to attracting new talent, BUKO Infrasupport also invests in the growth and development of existing employees. "We ensure that people end up in the right place, offer opportunities for further training and encourage career advancement and knowledge transfer," Hanneke continues. In this way, BUKO contributes to the personal development of employees and the growth of the organization. "Our success is truly a team effort, from ALL our employees in the various areas of responsibility and branches." Of course, BUKO wants to retain valuable knowledge within the organization. "So we welcome young talent as well as experienced professionals," Hanneke emphasizes. She gladly invites interested parties to take a look at the website. "Discover what we have to offer you, what vacancies are open and what suits you."
