N-road Friesland reinstated with sleek and safe Type ll markings

Marking materials are indispensable for the safety of our road network. Especially at night and in bad weather, highly visible lines and markings are crucial for the safety of road users. The quality of the road surface also makes the difference between safe and dangerous. Due to increasing traffic, the demands placed on marking materials are getting higher and higher. For example, the Province of Friesland made its demands on the road markings of the N351 and the line markings needed to be restructured and embellished again. In addition, improved night visibility was essential to optimize safety at night.

Durable surface coating

A hand-applied durable and high-quality surface coating was eventually chosen, which is applied by cold plastering. The product has good skid resistance and is particularly suitable for heavily loaded situations. The system is suitable for coating bicycle paths and intersections in situations where the coating is heavily loaded and therefore high wear resistance is required. When applied, the coating produces a surface with a flat structure, which reduces noise pollution when driven over.

Safety guaranteed

The N351 has been provided with high-quality markings which have been applied in a careful and structured manner. Due to the liquid Type ll components, the markings are protected against damage for years to come, and the improved night visibility ensures safety for road users. NWM director Roland Hofstra is positive about the progress and proud of the result. Road authority Province of Friesland has already commented very positively on the "cleanliness" and the beautiful results.
