Innovative solution for process optimization in road construction

Greater transparency throughout the asphalt processing process
In WITOS Paving, the software and machine technology come from a single source, and the benefits of this are convincing. WITOS Paving is the only system that provides direct access to key machine data such as layer thickness, processing width and speed. The technology is intuitive and used on a variety of end devices. Because the data is available in real time, it means that asphalt crews are always working with the most up-to-date data obtained in the field. This allows them to react faster and more effectively to deviations from plans and breakdowns. Ivo explains: "With the Paving Control module, the construction manager prepares the project. At the mixing plant, the Paving Materials module is used. The position of the trucks is automatically communicated to the system through the Paving Transport module. With this, the expected time of arrival at the asphalt plant or construction site is known. At the job site, the Paving JobSite module is deployed. As a result, the asphalt crew always knows how many trucks are approaching the job site and can anticipate this so that unnecessary downtime can be avoided. Upon completion, the project is analyzed in the construction manager's office with the Paving Analysis module."

Valuable findings for future projects
"The RoadScan provides a tremendous amount of data. This data consists of temperature measurements directly behind the machine, recorded per 0.25m². Thanks to recording the data, the system immediately gives an accurate quality picture of the work delivered. We are developing even further, with the aim of having the system register as much as possible itself so that even less data needs to be entered in advance.
