From January 13 to 15, 2026, the entire infrastructure sector will gather in Messe Essen for InfraTech Germany - the trade fair for future-oriented infrastructure solutions and valuable collaborations. Here, clients, contractors, suppliers, knowledge institutions and end users will meet to work together on the infrastructure of the future. With themes such as sustainability, digitalization and climate adaptation, the trade fair is the place to share knowledge, strengthen relationships and initiate new projects.
The German market is on the eve of an unprecedented wave of investment. The German cabinet has announced a €500 billion infrastructure fund - the so-called Sondervermögen Infrastruktur - aimed at modernizing railroads, bridges, energy networks and digital systems. 150 billion euros has been set aside for Deutsche Bahn alone, and another 100 billion for bridges and roads. Hydrogen infrastructure and high-voltage networks are also high on the agenda.
These investments create enormous opportunities, especially for foreign companies with expertise in smart, sustainable and integral infrastructure solutions. InfraTech Germany offers a unique opportunity to be visible to German clients and partners right now, at a time when many new projects and collaborations are being launched.
Three main themes form the backbone of the knowledge program and exhibition floor:
Substantive sessions will take place around these themes in collaboration with partners from government, market and knowledge institutions. Think of lectures and practical cases about permit procedures, digitalization of processes, circular building, nature-inclusive infrastructure and innovative techniques in underground construction. At the same time, exhibitors from home and abroad will present their innovations and practical examples within these themes.
The German market offers plenty of opportunities for Dutch parties - from engineering firms and contractors to technology companies and suppliers. InfraTech Germany is a low-threshold way to:
Messe Essen is just a few hours' drive from the Netherlands. There are plenty of affordable hotels available in the region, making participation or visiting the fair easy to plan.
Exhibitor Van Boekel GmbH: "For us, InfraTech Germany is more than a trade fair. It is the place where we get into conversation with clients, partners and interested visitors in a direct, personal way. The compact and well-organized set-up ensures real conversations and quality leads. We use this moment not only to present Van Boekel as a reliable partner in traditional and innovative infrastructure projects, but also to actively build on our position in the German market. For Dutch companies considering crossing the border, this is a unique opportunity: it takes no time at all to get there, and you meet the right people in a short time. So for us, InfraTech Essen is an investment that pays off twice over - in relationships, visibility and new opportunities."
In addition to the substantive program and the exhibition floor, there will be room to recognize innovations in the sector. The InfraTech Innovation Award 2026 will give companies, start-ups and organizations the opportunity to present their most innovative solutions to a broad professional audience as well as an independent professional jury.
Do you want to showcase your company on the German market? Or are you curious about how Germany deals with infrastructure challenges? Then InfraTech Germany is the time to look across the border.
