Beautiful images of the DCP formwork system for concrete deck gaps rented by Foundiz. Dike Zone Alliance Zwolle, consisting of Dura Vermeer and Ploegam are working in Zwolle on the Stadsdijken project. No less than 7.5 kilometers of the city dikes in Zwolle needed reinforcement to meet the new requirements for water safety. The dyke reinforcement is part of the national High Water Protection Program.
In this largest dike reinforcement operation ever, the Department of Public Works and Water Boards are working together to tackle approximately 1,500 kilometers of dikes, numerous locks and pumping stations to improve water safety until the year 2050. The DCP shuttering system for concrete cover gaps on steel sheet pile walls is currently being used competently and efficiently in Zwolle.
The DCP formwork system consists of special supports that can be easily attached to a sheet pile or combi pile. The supports can be placed in the greenhouse of the sheet-pile wall or suspended in a bracket. This makes welding unnecessary. After attaching the supports, the so-called Soffit panels can be placed on them. The Soffit panels have a standard length of 3 meters and are equipped with sliding aluminum strips. These aluminum strips accurately follow the shape of the installed sheet piling or combi piling. The formwork system can be applied to almost any type of sheet piling or variants thereof. The panels can even be used in combination with pile walls. The panels are equipped with a hand rail so that working at height and along the water is done safely. After placing the panels, which form the bottom of the formwork, the edge box can be placed. This can be done traditionally or using a system box.
In a few weeks Foundiz will have an updated version of the Beretta T21-E available. This new Beretta T21-E has received a number of updates including a tiltable mast. Where previously the mast could be removed manually, it can now be hydraulically tilted, making the T21-E even easier to transport and increasing the ease of use of this compact foundation machine. This Beretta T21-E is an electrically driven foundation machine with which micro-piles can be drilled in small spaces, among other things. Think of a diameter range of Ø 50 - 168mm with a section length of 1,200mm. In addition, the T21-E can also be perfectly used for soil drilling, sampling and, for example, placing injection pipes for soil injection techniques. The drill box of the T21-E can work in different gears, allowing for variation in torque and speed. As its name suggests, the T21-E is electrically driven, so Zero-Emission!
In addition to foundation machines, Foundiz also supplies electrically driven grout pumps and mixing equipment that can be used with various drilling methods.
More and more companies are finding Foundiz to supply the unique DCP ground release shackles and ratchet release shackles. These are safe lifting devices especially for steel sheet piles, tubular piles and beam steel. The shackles can be released from working level after positioning the foundation elements. With the ratchet shackles this is done by means of a ratchet mechanism and with the ground release shackles by pulling out a locking pawl. Also useful to know, there are also handy lifting devices available for handling steel pipes, beam steel and sheet piling. These are the so-called steel handling tools. Foundiz delivers the complete range of Dawson lifting equipment and also supplies separate parts. Of course all lifting equipment is delivered with an official certificate. Besides lifting equipment Foundiz also delivers all other products of Dawson DCP. For example, the 'sheet pile threader' which allows sheet piles to be led into the lock in a simple and safe way. This prevents working at height and saves on the use of auxiliary equipment.
Foundiz, as a partner of the German company Terra Infrastructure, supplies the range of compact drill motors in addition to the complete range of Müller vibratory hammers. An example of this is the VibroDrill. The unique VibroDrill drill boxes with resonator function are designed based on years of experience in both fields (Krupp and Müller).
The VibroDrills have a very high frequency and are suitable for various drilling techniques and are characterized by the following:
You can make your existing drill much more efficient and multi-purpose by equipping it with a new VibroDrill. Inquire now about the possibilities
In Belgium, many projects have been successfully carried out with the Soilmec SR 30 Eagle over the past year. In practice, this modern Soilmec machine proves its versatility in the field of various drilling techniques as well as the possibility of vibrating foundation elements. The concept of a very compact machine that can be transported without time-consuming permit applications proves to be a hit. Its usability in combination with Gilbert Grizzly MultiGrip vibrating block or with a drill cabinet results in high utilization rates. The Soilmec machines are all equipped with the DMS system (Drilling Mate System) that allows remote login to the machine. Also, execution data such as drilling graphs can be easily downloaded for the purpose of the quality file. The integrated measuring and recording system is also part of the DMS system. In addition, various safeguards are integrated into the DMS system to automatically intervene when unexpected situations demand it. This makes working with a Soilmec machine extra safe.
