Delivering not only what is requested, but more importantly what is needed

Not just delivering what is asked for, but more importantly what is needed

Even within the infrastructure sector, projects are increasingly focusing on cost savings and efficiency. To see all aspects in the field of designing, examining and managing infrastructural facilities in public spaces realized in a manageable and timely manner, it is nice to work with an experienced party that offers all the necessary services for this purpose.

With years of expertise, a wide range of activities (Geodata & Monitoring, Environment, Design, Pavements and Asset Management), its own research equipment and a laboratory, Unihorn can rightly call itself such a total supplier. From its offices in Scharwoude, Utrecht and Capelle aan den IJssel, Unihorn covers all of the Netherlands. We speak with Atty van de Streek, account manager at Unihorn, about the themes Pavements & Environment and Asset Management.

Research and advice paving on high level
"If we look at our Pavement and Environmental disciplines, we can conclude that Unihorn is one of the few companies that can conduct research and consulting projects in those areas on any scale. In the more than 25 years of our existence, we have become specialists in this. With skilled people in the office and in the field as well as research equipment under our own management, Unihorn can be called very decisive," Van de Streek opens the interview. "Even asphalt research in the accredited laboratory is done under our own flag. By having everything within one company, we are flexible, can guarantee the desired quality and come up with innovative solutions."

Unihorn is widely used for research and consultancy by governments, private parties and contractors. Van de Streek explains: "Anyone who is dealing with (road) infrastructure can come to us. Important in these investigations is determining the reusability of released materials. Not only do we establish contamination, we also give advice on what to do with the material within the rules of the law. Practical advice is always given in the language of the client. Short and clear lines of communication are crucial here. To every question we formulate a pragmatic and realizable answer."
