Safety and capacity as a core business

ATR Group is an organization that invests primarily in the knowledge of their people. In infrastructure projects, their expertise in safety, health and the environment is fully reflected.

Specializing in railroad safety, ATR Group also provides people for in construction and infra. That means also for infrastructure projects outside the railroad. Roel van der Aa is a safety expert at ATR Group. "We get involved in projects as soon as a contractor has capacity and knowledge problems," he says.

Safety expert

Operating companies of the ATR Group have the highest possible safety and quality certifications such as ISO, VCA, WPB and safety ladder step 4. And in addition, Van der Aa is responsible for QHSE (Quality Health Safety and Environment) as a senior safety expert.

"We fill a contractor's request in several ways. First of all, we have our own people. Then we have a flexible shell of mainly self-employed people. People whom we know and who are fully responsible for our profession and have mastered our way of working. We deploy them with great regularity. Beyond that, we have a number of specialized companies around us that we can also involve in our projects. Employees and partners work entirely according to our standards so that our desired way of working is carried out uniformly. The customer can expect optimal commitment from us."

Van der Aa: "We employ V&G coordinators who we deploy as interim or on a project basis in infra, the field with which we have strong ties. That's where our specific knowledge and experience has been since 2013. ATR Group works with seventy of its own employees. Among them are specialists in work preparation, project supervision and actual executives. For example, we assist safety officers, provide V&G coordinators but also the road worker."

In control

At ATR Group, clarity is a key concept. ATR Group deploys various means at the different workplaces to monitor this. By working with experienced personnel, complex operations remain clear, so they are always "in control.

Van der Aa: "The way we work is very diverse. For example, we act as a preferred partner of a client, but can also be a participant in a joint venture. We are flown in on a project basis, but in other projects we are again involved in regular maintenance."
