Pocket beacons and other auxiliary structures

The pocket beacons and other auxiliary constructions of welding and assembly works (LMW) in De Rijp are indispensable in the widening and sunken construction of the A9 between Badhoevedorp and Holendrecht, a project of the Department of Public Works. By continuously monitoring the behavior of the subsurface during construction, construction consortium VeenIX can calculate exactly when the next layer of sand can be applied. Sister company Q-Fence also ensures safe screening of the construction site with many kilometers of high-quality fencing.

LMW mainly provides welding and assembly work for civil engineering projects. "We specialize in producing pocket beacons," says director Joeri Hoeve. A pocket beacon is a steel instrument that allows you to meticulously measure the lowering of the ground at different raising stages. "The pocket beacons are used at different stages. They are pocket beacons produced in standard sizes and many specials. That is, a steel plate with a long steel tube attached to it with a total weight of about 25 kilograms."

LMW is a well-known supplier to the infrastructure sector. "We can deliver pocket beacons quickly from stock and also make the necessary specials for civil engineering. In the past we have supplied many large infrastructure projects, such as many thousands of pocket beacons for SAAone, Westfrisiaweg, Combinatie Badhoever Bogen and Alliantie Markermeerdijken. Customization is not a problem for us either."
