30,000 tons of (milling) asphalt

For more than 45 years, Transportbedrijf WB van der Donk has provided the transport of (milling) asphalt for BAM Infra Nederland. The red trucks of the family business from Vinkel have also become a familiar sight on the N395. In total, over 30,000 tons of asphalt and milling material is delivered and removed, with full trucks being used wherever possible.

Transport company WB van der Donk has specialized in transporting hot asphalt and milling materials for nearly sixty years. "Our trucks are fully equipped for this," explains director Enrico van der Donk. "Because of the long and intensive relationship with BAM Infra Nederland, we even have a truck in the road construction company's corporate colors. The regular driver on this truck has been driving for BAM for more than thirty years. Coincidentally, this vehicle is also used on the N395. The deployment of equipment varies from day to day. Sometimes we drive with more than ten cars at once, the other day there are only a few. As much as possible, we try to drive there full of hot asphalt and back full of milling material. We also regularly transport or move road construction equipment on site with our special flatbed trailers."

With a fleet of 38 trucks and 8 flatbed trailers, Van der Donk mainly assists on projects "below the rivers. "We are available 24/7, can switch quickly and have highly motivated personnel who have no problem driving on weekends or at night and at night."
