With more than 110 years of experience and a broad portfolio of (sonic) drilling equipment, CPT solutions and water monitoring systems, Royal Eijkelkamp is a one stop shop for soil and water projects. During the week of Nov. 15, a large number of interested parties from home and abroad could sample all (advanced) equipment during an interactive demo day in Giesbeek. Given the many enthusiastic responses, the next demo day is already in the planning.
"In recent years we have significantly expanded our product portfolio," says Rob Stolsz, Product Specialist Soil & Water at Royal Eijkelkamp. "As a result of the pandemic, we were unfortunately unable to show our (new) products to the general public in real-life. In order to give users and end-customers some more feeling with our products, we organized a demo day at our headquarters where we have our own testing facilities. As many as 150 invited guests, mainly from Europe but also from America, were able to get extensively acquainted with our products and hospitality, of course in full compliance with the applicable corona measures."

During the demo day, guests were presented with an interesting daily program centered around the themes of soil and water. "In addition to knowledge sharing and tours of the various production areas, demonstrations were also given outdoors on our own InnoFields site, a large (2,500 m2) and partially covered test site," Stolsz recalled. "People could sample our latest innovations, from equipment for manual soil sampling to the most advanced soil sampling and sonic drilling machines and other systems and products we have developed in the interim. What about ACT (Actively Aerated Compost Tea)? A concoction of a number of organic raw materials that improves soil life as an alternative to products with chemical ingredients. Compost tea can be applied to the land as an organic fertilizer and stimulates crop development in a sustainable way."

The live demonstrations naturally always capture the imagination at such an event, acknowledges Sjoerd Sprenkelder, Product Manager Sonic & Conventional Rigs at Royal Eijkelkamp. "For example, we demonstrated a number of machines around the theme of soil sampling, including the AquaLock, the DualWall CoreBarrel and the DS4. The Compact Crawler CPT series was also extensively highlighted, as was Eijkelkamp GeoPoint SoilSolutions' robust product line of geotechnical measuring instruments. With the DS4, a multifunctional rig for, among other things, performing environmental surveys, lot inspections and geotechnical investigations as well as the compact CPT series, we are going to do an extensive demo tour in Europe and America in 2022. So we will take these machines to our customers on location. You can register for this unique demo tour via our website."

With its broad product portfolio, Royal Eijkelkamp is rightfully a one-stop shop for soil sampling and geotechnical measuring instruments. "There is no other company in the world that combines all these disciplines," Stolsz summarizes. "End customers and users can bring everything to one company. We end the year 2021 very positively and look forward to the new year with great confidence. Schedule a demo for a comprehensive introduction to our compact equipment or pre-register for demo day 2022."
