Emission-free equipment is the future. In fact, due to the nitrogen problem in our country, projects are increasingly being tendered and executed with zero emissions. Electrically driven machines are therefore becoming increasingly popular on construction sites. Ahlmann Netherlands is introducing three new e-models as well as the BouwPower BP 100 that gives you power anywhere and anytime.
Ahlmann Netherlands likes to be at the forefront of innovative technology and so it is coming out with three new medium-sized machines, all electrically driven. These are the E-series of the Mecalac Group: Mecalac e12, Mecalac eD6 and Ahlmann eS1000. Remarkably, these are not "minis," but medium-sized machines that can do a lot of work on the emission-free construction site. Moreover, this trio complements each other perfectly, as they can load, dig and transport. The Ahlmann eS1000 is an 8-ton swing loader with 1,000-liter bucket, while Mecalac's CO2-reduction with the e12, an 11-ton mobile excavator, and with the 6-ton eD6 dumper. "As with the AZ95 Electric we developed in 2020, our starting point was that the machines must be able to run for at least 8 hours on a full battery without compromising on power or uptime," explains Peter van Keulen of Ahlmann Netherlands. "This makes the E-Series absolutely interesting for earthmoving and road construction. In this new generation, the 'e' stands not only for electric, but also for emission-free, ecological and efficient. They are sustainable machines, which on the basis of their power, deployment time and compactness are ideal for inner-city projects with no CO2 and particulate matter."
In addition to zero-emission equipment, energy storage is also an important issue within the sector. After all, without a good charging infrastructure, it is impossible to carry out projects completely emission-free. "For this, Ahlmann Netherlands offers a customized solution, namely the BouwPower BP100. With this compact power box with 102 kWh gross capacity you have power everywhere in no time. It thus replaces the traditional diesel generator." According to Peter, the BP100 is safe, robust and durable. "Every detail has been thought out to perfection, in terms of safety, ease of use and design. The BouwPower guarantees waterproof protection (IP66) for the battery pack and the electrical box." The power box weighs 1,850 kg but thanks to a pallet frame under the battery pack and on top of a central lifting eye, it is easy to lift it onto a trailer and transport it to wherever you want. And if you switch several battery boxes in parallel, it also provides enough kWh to recharge even larger machines overnight in one go. The BP100 also provides light around the jobsite and provides power for a refrigerator, coffee maker, laptop or phones in the construction shack.
