Ritchie Bros. is boosting year-end, driven by a record in supply and demand in the 3rd quarter.

Ritchie Bros. boosts end of year, driven by record Q3 supply and demand.

As the year draws to a close, the mood on yards and construction sites across Europe is changing: some companies are eager to clear out inventory, others are preparing for growth and looking for the right equipment to get a head start in 2026.

Ritchie Bros., Europe's leading global equipment management, buying and selling company, has just the right event for both groups: the end-of-year "Boost Your End of Year" campaign. This is more than a series of auctions across the EMEA region; it is a strategic moment for both sellers and buyers.

A win-win strategy for buyers and sellers

Many companies, aware that another year is coming to a close, are faced with a familiar scene: a row of little-to-non-used machinery - these assets can be turned into cash, literally and figuratively freeing up space for new projects and balancing the books for 2026.

For these companies, selling with Ritchie Bros. not only means secure sales, but also that the machines are no longer idle thanks to the ability to sell through multiple channels: auctions with no minimum prices or sales through the online Marketplace-E platform. Sellers can be confident that their equipment will be brought to the attention of a wide international audience in order to find the right buyer, that the process is fully transparent and that proceeds can be received within 21 days.

On the buyer's side, they have companies with growth plans access to a wide range of construction and agricultural equipment, trucks and more. They can choose to participate in upcoming online auctions or purchase the items they need directly through Marketplace-E, where they can negotiate or buy at the "Buy Now" price. Each option provides a transparent and simple process. With optional services such as logistics support, Ritchie Bros. helps buyers start 2026 well prepared.

High engagement during Super September sets tone for fourth quarter

Ritchie Bros. is building momentum ahead of its year-end campaign, building on its strong engagement generated during the Super September campaign in the 3rd quarter in key equipment industries in the EMEA region:

Construction & Industry: More than 18,300 lots were sold, which attracted more than 12,500 bidders - a record in five years - and more than 4,600 buyers came from Spain, France, Italy, Germany and the United Kingdom. Among the most frequently sold machines were hydraulic tracked excavators, telescopic forklifts, mini -excavators, wheel loaders and articulated dump trucks.

Agriculture: More than 760 agricultural lots changed hands in the 3rd quarter, with more than 2,600 bidders and more than 530 buyers - a record in five years - mainly from France, Germany, Italy, Spain and Poland. The main agricultural machines sold were tractors, cultivators, combines, discs and sprayers.

Transport: More than 820 transport lots were sold, attracting more than 2,800 bidders - a record in five years - and more than 560 buyers from Spain, France, Italy, the United Arab Emirates and the United Kingdom. SUVs, single-axle and tandem-axle trucks, flatbed trailers and pickup trucks were among the most frequently sold vehicles.

"Our excellent third quarter results underscore the continued confidence in the used equipment market and the value our auctions and digital platforms provide to sellers and buyers. With a record number of bidders, the upcoming year-end auctions offer an excellent opportunity to sell excess equipment or purchase the assets needed to get a head start for 2026", said Duncan Ainscough, Head of Sales at Ritchie Bros. EMEA.

November 26 & 27 will, of course, see another Benelux auction. This special year-end auction already has over 1,300 lots of construction and earthmoving equipment, trucks, cranes, power tools & more on offer. The full offer can be found online, customers can also visit the Viewing Days in Moerdijk on November 24 & 25.

In addition, there is also a great opportunity for Dutch and Belgian farmers and agriculturists to sell surplus agricultural equipment or purchase new/used equipment before Jan. 1 at the largest European agricultural auction in Meppen (DE) on Nov. 19 and 20.
