'The first electric sweeper truck in the Netherlands. 100% electric and whisper quiet'. It is written in large letters on this sweeper truck from Van Doorn. A scoop that can be seen at the Infra Relatiedagen, on March 29, 30 and 31 in Evenementenhal Hardenberg. About 350 exhibitors take part in the event that annually attracts around 16 thousand visitors.
This first electric sweeper truck can be found on the Equipment Fleet of the Future, which has been subtitled "Load, Drive & Build. This is the first time that the Infra Relatiedagen will focus so much attention on electrified equipment, ranging from sweepers to charging stations and battery trucks. All leading suppliers will be present. A track has been set out in the hall for demos, and in the middle of the hall is the Machinists' Café.
Lambert van Gameren, responsible within Easyfairs for the Equipment Park of the Future: "We are very proud to be able to show special electric showpieces. To visitors we say: 'Sit down and experience the sound'. In the Machinists' Café you get explanations from experts by experience. The most frequently asked question? Can you ride an entire day on an electric sweeper truck. The answer is "yes. Other question is whether you can still hear the motor. The answer is: No, the equipment is whisper quiet. The examples are in Hall 7."
The infrastructure sector has an acute personnel problem. That is why this edition will again feature a College Tour with intermediate vocational and higher vocational students. A route leads them along twenty exhibitors with striking innovations and inspiring stories. Van Gameren: "We mainly show the versatility of the sector. In this way we hope to get them excited about a job in infrastructure. Since we focus on final-year students, there is quite a labor potential walking around."
Developments in the industry are not standing still. Electrified machines on the Equipment Fleet of the Future are a flashy example. Knowledge about the infrastructure sector will be tested in an accessible pub quiz. Lambert van Gameren: "With the motto 'it may also be fun', we are organizing a pub quiz twice a day on Wednesday, February 2 and Thursday, February 3. We are setting up a knowledge café especially for this."
Jacqueline Seton, community builder at Infra Relatiedagen, is looking forward to the upcoming edition with great anticipation. "We are totally ready to meet each other live again. Infra Relatiedagen offers precisely a place to 'just' talk to each other in a safe way. The safety of the visitors and exhibitors has never been more important in this respect. Therefore, all possible measures will be taken to ensure a safe fair. All seven halls of the complex are ' almost sold out'. It is clear that exhibitors want to profile themselves in the market. With the Infra Relatiedagen we offer the right ambiance for that. With us it is always a mix. We want to present innovations in the right networking environment. For us it's not just about the specifications of a product, but mainly about the conversation."
Over the past few months we have been able to add many great names to the Infra Relatiedagen 2022 exhibitor field. Meanwhile, almost 90% of the exhibition floor is sold out. With names such as Hans van Driel, KWS Infra, Heijmans Infra, BAM Infra, Aannemingsmaatschappij van Gelder, Strukton Civiel, Tobroco, Van Doorn Geldermalsen BV, IKN and Kiwa KOAC BV this brings the total to no less than 307 exhibitors.
