Emission-free, cost-saving work has become accessible to an even larger audience, thanks to an invention by Agriper. It started with an emergency call from a farmer. "The energy costs for sprinkling his land were getting so out of hand that he sought a solution with solar energy," Erwann van Eyk begins his story. As founder and co-owner, he was faced with a complex question. After all, how do you make the large amount of solar panels required to run such a pump portable?
Agriper found the solution in a hydraulically powered structure that can fold and unfold itself within three minutes. A mobile power unit that can supply both power and mains electricity and thus can be connected to construction machinery, generators, pumps and even electric cars.
The unit can be rented, purchased or leased. Moreover, this sunpower technology is eligible for the KIA and EIA schemes, which means a total tax deduction of 65.5%.
The 50 kW battery fully charges itself within two hours. "Because it rotates both vertically and horizontally with the sun, it can supply as much as 250 to 260 kW per day, depending on the number of hours of sunshine. That means peak power of up to 25 kW per hour. If desired, one can opt for a connection that automatically switches a diesel generator on and off when the battery level is too low. For example, at a heavily cloudy time of day."
"Interest from the ground, road and hydraulic engineering sector is high. After all, this sector often works in places where there is no grid connection. This unit is transported by truck, but soon we will offer an installation that can be transported by company bus. This will also make it more suitable for work in urban areas. An additional advantage is that the user immediately has a 100-square-meter billboard, thanks to the banners on the back. In addition to the standard models, we can also build a custom unit where we expand the battery to 100 or 150 kW, for example."
